IBPS Clerks Prelims Exam 2017-18

Candidates will be selected by IBPS through a selection process consisting of an online test (Preliminary and Main Examination) and Final Interview for certificate verification only.
The selection process aims at getting candidates who are likely to succeed at various roles in the Bank. The endeavor is to select candidates who are bright, have good communication skills (both oral and written), are dedicated, can work effectively in teams, are passionate about their career goals and who display integrity and a positive attitude.

The selection process for preliminary online exam the post of CWE Clerks will be as follows:

From IBPS Exam 2016-17, the prelims pattern has the same test pattern.
Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing passing marks to be decided by the Bank. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 20 times the numbers of vacancies subject to availability) will be short listed for the Main Examination.

IBPS Clerks Main Exam Test pattern 2017-18

The IBPS Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks.
(I) Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consist of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test will have separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Banks.

Note:The above tests except the tests of English Language (Objective), will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.
Note: Penalty for Wrong Answers: There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in both preliminary examination as well as mains examination. A wrong answer to an objective question will lead to a penalty of one-fourth of the total mark assigned to that question. There will be no penalty for the question left blank or unanswered.
